I can recall vividly my father introducing me to coloring in sheets as a hobby, and now I am doing the same with my child. Never mind how the world changes, our children nowadays love to color in just as much as we did when we were young. Kids love to show off what they can do by using their paints on the coloring sheets you give them.

Let's be honest. The Internet is quite possibly one of the best and worst inventions to come around in a long long time. With it, you get the good and inevitably, you get the bad. It can help make you more productive in life and it can also cause you to be highly inefficient. Now, before we get off on a rant here I should clarify, this article is actually going to be about free colouring pages. How you may ask? Well, the way I see it, free colouring pages epitomize how the internet can help parents. And although it may sound like a stretch, I'll attempt to connect the proverbial dots that add up to my colouring pages conviction.

The thing that I love most about colouring pages is that it allows me the opportunity to share a small aspect of my past with my children. Although they find it comical that some of the coloring page characters such as the care bears, tinkerbell, and strawberry shortcake were around when I was a child.

There are hundreds of different themes you can find in the coloring pages starting from funny cartoon's characters to very informative pictures like alphabet, figures and so on. And thanks to coloring books by the preschool age many children already know the alphabet and how to count. By painting any of the letters in coloring pages they can learn how to write letters and be able to recognize them making the process of learning to read much easier. Thus, coloring pages are a very educational tool for young minds.

Mario illustrates a short American-Italian plumber who lives with his brother Luigi in the Mushroom Garden. He soon becomes a hero, as he stops the plans of Bowser to kidnap Princess Peach and dominate the whole mushroom garden. He also confronts his other enemies, like Donkey Kong, and every time he gets triumphant. This character appears on many video game genres, special designed for children. If you are eager for a smile on your children's face, the result is always made of Mario coloring pictures and the time for coloring them, time assigned by your little ones. The kids will be intrigued by these pictures and will want to finish them and having them coloured in the way they want as soon as possible.

A lot of the activities kids do these days are very expensive or very hard for me to join in with. For example, I certainly can't skateboard, I can't swim and I definitely do not know how to use a PC or Xbox to play games. I am lost when it comes to computers, I really am. I know it is inevitable that as my son grows that he will soon enough be wanting to do things on his own and being seen with his dad would be grounds for teasing from his friends so I am making a huge effort to spend as much free time as I can with him now and really make every moment count. They say time is the most precious gift you can give to a youngster and I am trying hard to live by that. It seems increasingly hard to find activities that Fathers can do with their little ones. Mums seem to get most of the fun.
